An elegant and warm interpretation of the celebrated Christmas classic composed by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane.
The recording took place in Madrid, where Hanne Tveter joined forces with three acclaimed musicians from the international jazz scene: Luis Guerra (piano), Pablo Martín (double bass) and Shayan Fathi (drums). Together, they create an intimate and vibrant interpretation in which Tveter’s voice blends naturally into the acoustic trio format. The result is an elegant and timeless rendition that preserves the song’s nostalgic character.
The release is accompanied by a new music video -avisual extension of the music —that brings forward a warm, festive and atmospheric holiday feeling.
“Madrid has always been a special place for me. I have spent several Christmases here, walking through its illuminated streets and enjoying its warm and friendly atmosphere. Over time, the city has become a sort of second home, a place where I findinspiration and where I return again and again.
That’s why I felt that recording this song here was the most natural thing to do: I wanted that Christmas energy from Madrid to be part of the music.”
