HANNE TVETER – CRUXANDO FRONTERAZ

HANNE TVETER – CRUXANDO FRONTERAZ

Hanne Tveters groundbreaking new concept album “CruXando Fronteraz / Crossing Borders” represents a musical journey of exotic rhythms, lust for life, Spanish temper and gloomy melancholy. This recently released double album features one CD filled with traditional Spanish and Latin American folk music, and a second one containing her Norwegian interpretations of these songs as well as a few specially selected Norwegian folk songs. It’s an inspirational album that truly lives up to its name, and with it Hanne proves that there’s simply no such thing as musical borders.

New album – Crossing Borders

Hanne and her musicians literally cross the borders with a mixture of traditional music from Norway, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Spain. Reaching out to both the Norwegian and Latin American audiences with folk, jazz and flamenco music, this album boldly paves the way for a new Norwegian direction in World Music. Hanne sings in both Spanish, Portuguese and Norwegian. Crossing borders is all about adventuring out to explore the roots of traditional music, and trying something new!

Mexican television (TV Azteca) did a news report from one of her live performances in Oslo in the spring of 2009, broadcast to over 80 million Mexican viewers. In January 2011 Hanne went to México City for interviews with daily newspapers and magazines. She will perform several concerts in México during 2012.
